This Thursday, DockYard will join Elixir developers and enthusiasts from around the globe for the Elixir community’s premier conference, ElixirConf 2020.

Taking place virtually on September 3 and 4, this year’s event will bring together the passionate Elixir community to share what we’ve all been working on over the past year, how Elixir has continued to advance web development, and practical guidance for developers both experienced and new to using Elixir.

As long-time evangelists of the Elixir community and sponsors of this year’s event, the DockYard team will present several talks on day one of the conference (Sept. 3), including:

**9:10 to 9:15 a.m. CDT | Senior Software Engineer Mike Binns presents A DockYard Download **

Returning to the Elixir stage, Mike Binns will provide an update on DockYard’s continued support of open-source contributions to the Elixir community. He’ll also share how we are working with industry leaders and disruptors to help them harness the power of Elixir to create more meaningful web experiences for their users.

**9:20 to 10:10 a.m. CDT | Architectural Engineer and Creator of Phoenix Chris McCord presents A Year in Review with LiveView **

2020 has brought about some major milestones for the Phoenix framework and Phoenix LiveView. In this keynote, Chris McCord will provide a look back at how Phoenix has continued to evolve—including the introduction of Phoenix LiveDashboard—and will share an exciting new feature in the works to enable interactive uploads, progress reports, and multiple file uploads. Join this session to hear more about how the Phoenix Core Team is continuing to empower developers to create rich, interactive web applications (all with less code and fewer moving parts!).

**11:05 a.m. to 11:35 a.m. CDT | Architectural Engineer and member of the Lumen Core Team Elle Imhoff presents An Update on Lumen **

Last year, DockYard founder Brian Cardarella and fellow Core Team members announced the introduction of Lumen, a new compiler and runtime for BEAM languages. This year, Elle Imhoff will take the virtual Elixir stage to share how Lumen has progressed since its inception and what developments the Elixir community can expect in 2021.

**11:35 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. CDT | Architectural Engineer and Creator of Phoenix Chris McCord and Senior Software Engineer and member of the Phoenix Core Team Michael Crumm host a Q&A on Phoenix & LiveView **

Looking to lunch and learn? During Thursday’s ElixirConf lunch hour, Chris McCord and Michael Crumm will host a 30-minute chat to answer the community’s burning questions about Phoenix and LiveView. Be sure to send your questions to @DockYard on Twitter. Chris and Michael will answer a series of pre-selected questions directly from all of you!

And, if you’re interested in gaining some 1:1 time with Chris McCord, enter our ElixirConf raffle here for a chance to win two hours of Elixir/Phoenix consulting time with Chris.
