Companies such as Microsoft, Timberland, Intuit, Chobani, Oracle, and Patagonia have all been featured by Inc. 5000 in the past.
The 2019 Inc. 5000 achieved an astounding three-year average growth of 454 percent, and a median rate of 157 percent. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue was $237.7 billion in 2018, accounting for 1,216,308 jobs over the past three years.
DockYard designs and develops custom software, mobile applications, and Progressive Web Apps. The consultancy works largely with Ember and Elixir, some of the same technologies adopted by tech giants such as Apple, IBM, Adobe, Siemens, Sony, and Lexmark. These proven, open-source technologies offer easy migration, long-term maintainability, and stability.
“We’re thrilled to be included in Inc.’s fastest growing companies list,” said Jon Lacks, DockYard’s Incoming CEO. “DockYard’s growth has been fueled by the brilliance of our product designers, UX developers, engineers, and other staff, as well as by the quality of the software, mobile, and web apps that we build. We help clients translate bold digital ideas into simple, elegant solutions that advance business and user goals alike.”
DockYard’s innovative culture enables us to help create and lead technologies of the future. Because Fridays are “DockYard Days,” where there is no need to do client work, employees can focus on learning and contributing to — if not leading — open source technology. In fact, we keep thought leader Chris McCord on staff to devote 90% of his time to furthering the development of the open-source Phoenix framework.
“The companies on this year’s Inc. 5000 have followed so many different paths to success,” said Inc. Editor in Chief James Ledbetter. “There’s no single course you can follow or investment you can take that will guarantee this kind of spectacular growth. But what they have in common is persistence and seizing opportunities.”
